Need for eCommerce:

The correct word for the abbreviation E-commerce could be something like Easy commerce and not electronic commerce.The mode of shopping has changed with the evolving times. The internet has slowly occupied a large portion of our lives and many of our activities have gone online. Shopping too has started to shift to the online medium and e-commerce sites are becoming more and more popular. E-commerce websites simplify the shopping process and increase your revenues.

DhilKart is an eCommerce website which enables a tech savvy person to browse ,view specifications and buy the product which he/she desires.

Please find the reason on why I chose this application is listed below

2. what software you have evaluated and which is the one that you finally selected.

Zencart ,Magento ,quick cart and Prestashop.

I selected Prestashop

3. why did you select the particular software

           Zencart – too simple as it don’t have multiple order generations

           Magento – not fast when compared to others,slow loading of pages

           quick cart – no login features and image uploading features available

           I selected Prestashop as it overcomes above drawbacks

4. what configuration / customization you have done -- if you have done something clever, please highlight it in the blog post so that i notice it.

1)Added new categories

2) new products under each category

3) Customized India as default country

4)configured states

5)set Indian rupee as default currency

6)Include the feature of gift wrapping

7)Added new carrier—means application will have pick up store and   delivery option.

8) Enable the feature of multiple order.

9) Added my own logo
